Please prayerfully consider how you can give of your time, talent, and treasure to help advance the mission of SJNCS and secure the future of Catholic education! If you are interested in giving, please contact the school’s Advancement Board. Thank you for considering a gift in support of SJNCS. We greatly appreciate your generosity. Together we can continue to develop young men and women of character – prepared to meet the demands of higher education, to contribute to society, and to answer the call of Christian service.
Help Us Soar Annual Fund
The SJNCS Annual Fund is made up of annual gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, board members, faculty, staff, and friends of SJN. All gifts are unrestricted contributions for the sole purpose of supporting the operations of the school and advancing the mission of Catholic education at SJNCS. Gifts from you, our alumni, parents, and friends enable SJNCS to continue its tradition of excellence in Catholic education. By making a gift, you are making an investment in the life of SJNCS that has a direct impact on our students and their educational experience. Gifts to the Help Us Soar Fund are used toward meeting the school’s most pressing needs.
Our Annual Fishing Tournament takes place in the spring and our school anglers set out early in the morning in search of the biggest catch. The Hook, Dock & Rock Party takes place on the school campus the weekend following the tournament where the tournament winners are announced. It is a wonderful community fostering event featuring food, music and games.
Swine & Dine
Our Annual Swine and Dine Lechón Cook-Off & Bazaar is a wonderful community event which includes delicious food, great music, a bazaar, and entertainment for kids as well as adults. Some of the best roast pork is on display as our Swine and Dine teams compete to see who can cook the best roast pork with prizes in several categories. The SJNCS Bazaar features vendors selling items such as clothing, home décor, jewelry, candles, and much more.
Our Annual Eagle 5K is held in February at Zoo Miami and is a wonderful event which promotes health and family fitness while benefiting SJNCS. At the finish line participants receive their medals and join the fun. The event features delicious food, cafecito, vendor booths, and activites where our students bond with classmates and friends.
Peter "Pete" McCullagh's life exemplified Faith, family, and service. Peter graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School, Brooklyn NY, earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, NY, served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy, and earned an MBA from Xavier University, Cincinnati OH. As a founding member of the St. John Neumann Catholic Church parish, Pete actively participated in the Choir, the Men’s Club, and was instrumental in establishing the Men’s Emmaus experience. Pete generously shared his thirst and enthusiasm for knowledge by teaching mathematics for 20 years in the Miami-Dade public schools and 12 years at St. John Neumann Catholic School. He inspired students to explore the world of math with joy. Pete and his family established the St. John Neumann Catholic School “Pete McCullagh Memorial Fund” to continue to support the church and school community that he so dearly loved.
